Maximizing Brain Power

I’ve just realized something: I’m a lot smarter when I get sleep. I get things done faster when I get sleep. My life is better when I sleep.

Conclusion: Lifechange.

I think after Junior year, Senior year, and the summer’s sleep patterns (a.k.a no pattern at all) — I’m going to need a pattern change. Some people might be like “Wow Sam way to figure this out now” but when you’re double-majoring with a job 12 hours a week you begin to realize that yeah, sleep is only sort of important. Otherwise you begin to fall apart and be bad at everything you do.

Step 1) Get work done early. No piano, no Salsa dancing, no A Capella. Only church stuff because that’s important (not to mention fun, haha) and school work. I’m a total nerd right now, and I’m loving it.

Step 2) Eat right. Salad every meal, plenty of milk and orange juice, no eating too late, no eating too much. Too much fattie food slows down the brain. The greens help you think.

Step 3) TimeHack. Skip classes that don’t matter to do work that does matter. Sounds stupid, sounds crazy, but it’s working. I skip classes I know the material in, do the homework instead, and wow I’ve just created an hour of time. Exactly.

Step 4) Do the homework. If I do the homework I don’t have to study for tests because I learn the material. But that’s only if I do all the homework. All of it.

Can’t drop the ball.
