Lazy December
It’s December 21st. A lot of my friends are not back from school yet and I’m itching to hang out, but I realize that Christmas is on Friday and I won’t really be free Saturday because of packing and stuff, and Sunday I’m gone *again* to St. Louis for the Urbana Conference…and I won’t be back until January 1st. Grr, this break is already seeming too short.
I also got another web design gig recently. I need to see if Eugene is around because if he is maybe he can help do some hardcore SEO. It seems that my client really needs SEO and wants to get into affiliate marketing. We’ll work on that.
I’ve spent my day lazing around on the piano and drawing random things. I could get used to this. Esther comes home in two days, I can’t wait
My goal this break is to spend as little time on the computer as possible except to read the Couch book and to watch some lectures and screencasts. Berkeley’s CS61A lectures are online and my dad got SICP for free, which rocks cause now I can learn lisp! Though the lecturer is sort of dry. Maybe once I get the book in my hands (it’s at my dad’s office) I’ll just work through it rather than watching lectures. The lectures are also time consuming…50 minutes each.
I can’t believe I’m choosing to watch lectures over break! Oh well.
I didn’t pick up the Christmas cards yet. I’ll do that tomorrow after I meet with the client. I also need to go to BestBuy to pick up a 23″ Acer 1080p monitor my dad bought. The reason? My mom likes Korean soap operas and needs a larger screen to watch it on. Great reasoning, father. (That and we can use a large screen with my sister’s netbook and my dad’s smaller Dell XPS1210 and I can use it for programming purposes, but mostly it’s for my mom watching soap operas.) Yay today I will sleep early and take my sweet sweet time falling asleep to thoughts of cheesecake and Christmas music. I love the holiday season.
SAAAM! We need to go to the Met!
