What’s up, doc?
Calling the doctor today after I get out of class. I’m sitting in the ACM room right now — I’ll probably come back after class, call the doctor, print insurance crap, do CS231 homework and as much mallard as possible, and then head home when I get bored and do math homework.
So tired! It’s only 1pm but I feel like I’ve been up for so long that I need to sleep again. Haha.
I was reading some stuff about stride correction online in the past few days. Apparently you can combat heelstriking by taking shorter strides.
The heelstriking thing is correct. You want your strides to be closer under your center of gravity, but you have to increase your stride frequency. You'll find a happy medium at some point hopefully. But there's other stuff about your form you have to correct too. Also that whole being eternally injured thing isn't helping your running either =
yeah I know right :/ it's been since like end of jr year / all of senior year so like 2 years since I've even really run seriously without hurting there. it's all good though — I called the doctor and will have an appointment soon (though I only left a message…I think I have to call again…grr)
