Alone time
I’ve been craving some alone time for a little while now. Lately it’s been “lets go out to eat!” and “lets go do this!” and not enough time for me to just chill and think about things. Roommate life is kind of like that.
I didn’t go to boiling crab today with the other guys because I wanted to chill alone. I had time to reflect on lots of things and when Brian and Caris went out for a walk, I played some worship on the piano. I realize that I’ve learned a bunch of new songs that I really love. They are so mellow and warm. Particularly I really like a hymn called Seek Ye First. I think the reason I like it so much is because it’s like singing the bible, and when Brian taught us the song on a family group night, I could sing along despite not knowing the song, because it was basically the verse put into a song. It felt so good to be able to sing the word.
“Seek Ye first the kingdom of God,
And His righteousness,
And all these things, shall be added onto you,
Alleu, alleuiaMan shall not live by bread alone,
But by every word
That proceeds from the mouth of God
Alleu, AlleuiaAsk and it shall be given unto you,
Seek and ye shall find.
Knock and the door shall be opened onto you.
Alleu, Alleuia”
