As I thought, it was necessary. But the sad part is, the reinforcements are going to be British troops.

This is unfair to us as Americans and British. We’re the only ones sending out large numbers of troops, maybe Canada too, but mainly us and why should we be the ones responsible for the well being of these other countries? It seems stacked against us. What the hell is China doing anyway? As a Chinese American I find it shameful that China isn’t working to help stabilize countries like this. They may be communist, but come on, why don’t they help Darfur or anything? I mean really, some of these powerful countries - China, Russia, they care about none other than themselves. And even their own citizens are mistreated constantly. How much better it is to be an American, where we have these freedoms that we take for granted.

And we often don’t think about freedoms that we have until we start thinking about others. And then we realize how lucky we are. This whole pro-democracy war jig really makes me think about my freedoms, and why my country is really in war. We war not only against terror and crazy radicals, we war against people who are bent on taking freedom away. Not only from us as Americans, but from citizens of them own countries.

On a final note, I think China’s society has developed to be one of the most self centered cultures ever. They brainwash their citizens into being competitive, secular, selfish bastards. What a shame.
